Alfred R. Heckenlaible, 98, passed away, March 11, 2008 at Aldersgate Village.
He was born June 1, 1909 in Menno, SD, to Karl and Regina (Seidel) Heckenlaible.
He graduated from Menno High School in 1927 and NSU with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Alfred was a music teacher for schools in South Dakota.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Jansen, Topeka; two grandchildren Joshua (Katie) Jansen, San Francisco, CA and Tanya Jansen, Zurich, Switzerland.
Cremation is planned. Private inurnment will follow at a later date in Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson, CA. Memorial contributions may be made to Heart of America Hospice, Topeka, KS. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is handling arrangements.
