Alberta Oslund

Alberta Oslund, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 4, 2012, in Sacramento, California at the age of 99. She was born in Brookfield, Missouri on February 27, 1913, and was married in Topeka, Kansas, to Einar John Oslund on July 31, 1935, at the West Side Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and her siblings, Jennie Allen Bruner and Charles Franklin Allen. Alberta is survived by her daughter Karen Edgar and her son-in-law William (Bill) Edgar; her granddaughter, Debbie Edgar; her grandson and granddaughter-in-law Larry and Stacey Edgar and their children, Nicholas and Hailey Edgar.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 9 at at the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 8 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel.

She was a long-time resident of San Rafael, California, having moved there in 1964. She moved to Sacramento in 2008, to be closer to her family. She will be greatly missed and remembered most for the love she shared with her family and friends.
