Alan Maxwell Hill, 65, of Tecumseh, died Saturday, October 30, as the result of a traffic accident in Wabaunsee County. He was born October 12, 1939, to Justin D. and Margaret Seybold Hill, Lawrence, Ks. Alan Attended Lawrence public schools, and he graduated from the University of Kansas with a B.S. degree in History and a masters degree in Business Administration. He was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. He was president of Lawrence Paper Company and had worked there for 40 years. Alan is survived by his wife, Norma Purvis Hill; daughter, Alison Hill Tanner of Durham, NC; daughter, Kathleen Krehbiel Boutis, her husband Nick and their three children Talia, Kaden and Lida of Takoma Park, MD; and brothers David Hill, Boulder, CO, Justin Hill and Stephen Hill both of Lawrence, KS. Friends remember Alan as a conservationist, and avid skier, outdoorsman, environmentalist, and inventor. He attended West Side Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held at West Side Baptist Church, 4th and Fillmore, at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 4th. The family requests memorial contributions be made to West Side Baptist Church, 1008 S.W. 4th St., Topeka, Ks., 66606-1116 or to the organization of the donor's choice.
