Adam Moser
Adam B. Moser, 89, of Topeka, died Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at a local hospital.
He was born August 18, 1915 in Troy, KS, the son of Fred S. and Goldie Dittemore Moser.
He graduated from Troy High School in 1932.
He graduated from the University of Missouri at Maryville with a Masters Degree in Education. Mr. Moser taught elementary school for 20 years and then served as Doniphan County Superintendent of Schools for 10 years. Before retiring in 1977, Mr. Moser was the elementary school principal at Auburn Elementary School for 13 years.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Moser married Henriette Rapp on May 15, 1943. She survives of the home.
Survivors include a son, Gary Moser, St. Louis, MO : two brothers, Paul Moser, Holton, KS. and Harold Moser, St. Joseph, MO; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Patricia and his brother, Raymond Moser.
Mr. Moser was a long- time member of Lowman United Methodist Church.
Mr. Moser will lie in state after 1:00 p.m., Friday December 3, 2004 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. The casket will remain closed.
A funeral service will be held at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, December 4, 2004 at Lowman United Methodist Church with private burial to follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Troy, KS.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to: Lowman United Methodist Church, 4000 SW. Drury Ln. Topeka, KS 66604.
