Long-time Topeka resident Acsa "Isabel" Gangel, 89, passed away
December 3, 2008 at Rossville Health Care and Rehab Center.
She was born on June 8, 1919 in Carbondale, KS, the daughter of Joseph and Bettie Ann (Coberly) Luthey.
Isabel was preceded in death by twin siblings, sister Lucil (Liberty), and brother Louis Lee, husband Leo Gangel and son William.
Surviviors include: Sister Mrs. Hallie Harris, Dallas, TX; Son Richard Gangel, Stevensville, MT; Daughter Linna Conrad, Olympia, WA; Daughter Ann Hotchkiss, Dallas, TX; numerous grandchildren; and
long-time companion Art Hanni, and his family: Jane Hanni, Jim and Nancy Hanni, Topeka.
Isabel was a Member of the Topeka Woman's Club and Nagel's Bridge Group. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
Memorial services will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008
at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Private family inurnment will be held at a later time.
