Abel R. Flores, Sr.

Abel R. Flores, Sr. 86, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017 at his home. He was born May 29, 1931 in Palito Blanco, TX, the son of Juan and Josepha Flores.

Abel had resided in Topeka since 1961. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Abel married Frances A. Flores, she preceded him in death. He is survived by four sons, Julian (Theresa) Flores, Pedro Flores, Abel Flores, Jr. and Joe Flores all of Topeka, five grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and nineteen great-great-grandchildren.

Prayer Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Abel will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until the rosary at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel.
