He was born November 17, 1929, in McFarland, Kansas, the son of Raymond D. and Amanda (Senne) Ten Eyck. He graduated from Alta Vista High School.
Dale was a U.S. Army veteran. He was employed by the State of Kansas as an engineering technician with the Board of Agriculture, division of water resources field office, where he retired after 36 years. He was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church. Dale was a big sports fan. He loved bowling and Washburn Basketball, having season tickets every year. He also enjoyed gardening.
Dale married Janet Pauline Meyer on May 12, 1961. She preceded him in death on February 2, 2012. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Dewey, Edward and Alfred Ten Eyck and one sister, Leola Cooley.
Survivors include two sons, Steve and Brian Ten Eyck, two grandsons, Trenton and Brady Ten Eyck, all of Topeka; and three brothers, Don, Eldon and Leroy Ten Eyck.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Friday, January 17 at St. John's Lutheran Church. Interment with military honors will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 pm Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel.
