Inez Nadine Hamilton

Inez Nadine Hamilton, 97, of Topeka, KS, passed away on July 15, 2024, at Stormont-Vail Hospital.
She was born on December 27, 1926, the daughter of George Edward and Sophia Louise (Iott) Gehrt in McFarland, Kansas.
Inez graduated from Paxico High School the class of 1944. After high school she moved to Topeka where she met her future husband.
She was united in marriage to Duane Lyle Hamilton on January 1, 1955, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Topeka where she was a devout Lutheran and long standing member. Together they raised two children, Richard and Patricia.
For employment, she worked many years as a payroll clerk for the VA Hospital in Topeka. After retiring she enjoyed making and selling crafts. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Patricia Louise (Hamilton) Blackman, brother Bob Gehrt, and sister Letha (Gehrt) Meyer.
Inez is survived by her son Richard Hamilton and granddaughters Tracy (Blackman) Ireland, Brenda Blackman, and Heather Allard.
Service will be held at 1:00 P.M on July 23, 2024, at St. Johns Lutheran Church.
Burial to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials are sent to St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, 901 SW Fillmore Topeka, KS 66606.
