David Morrell Dexter, 87, of Topeka, passed away, Tuesday, July 9, 2024.
He was born November 25, 1936 in Hays, KS, the son of Morrell and Helen Dexter.
David retired from the State of Kansas. He was married to his wife Sandra for 61 years, and they were long-time supporters of Washburn University sports. After her passing, David found love again with Mary Ann Robison.
David is survived by Mary Ann, daughter; Marsha (Michael) Diggs, sons; Jeffrey Dexter and Brett (Leann) Dexter, seven grandchildren; Cory Mills (Cat), Dale Dexter (Ashley), Alex Todd (Jason), Zachary (Shardae) Dickgrafe, Keaton Dexter, Amanda Diggs and Sandra “Sunny” (Sam) Pippert as well as nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sisters; Sandra McDonald and Cheryl O’Neal, and son; Scott Dexter.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30am, Monday July 15, 2024 at Mount Hope Funeral Chapel, 4700 S.W. 17th St, Topeka, KS 66604, with interment to follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
