Marian Ruth Brumley

Marian Ruth Brumley (83), of Topeka, passed away on January 27, 2024. She was born June 21, 1940 in Topeka, the daughter of Albert and Lucille (Rake) Kampschroeder. Marian graduated from Topeka High School in 1958. Marian worked for Duffen's Optical and later became a floral designer for Wilson Florist.

Marian loved gardening! She was a member of the Meade Garden Club, a Master Planner at Ward Meade Park, a member of the Queen of Spades Garden Club, and former President of the Topeka Garden Council. She was also a member of the Oakland Presbyterian Church and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

Marian married Jerry Brumley on June 11, 1961. He preceded her in death on July 30, 2008. Marian is survived by their children, Bruce (Johnna) Brumley, Topeka and Brian (Kim) Brumley, McPherson; grandchildren, Kourtney, Samuel and Kent; brother, Larry Kampschroeder; nieces, Deborah, Kristen and Shelly and her great nieces and nephews, Tristan, Karson, Kennedy, Norah and Owen.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Mount Hope Funeral Chapel, 4700 SW 17th Street, Topeka, KS 66604. Her family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society, 1315 SW Arrowhead Road Topeka, KS 66604 or to the American Diabetes Association PO Box 13067 Alexandria, VA 22312.
