Carla Sue (Logan) Burdick, 74, Topeka, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023.

She was born July 4, 1949, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of E. Dale and Carol (Blythe) Logan. She graduated from Dover High School.

Carla was a medical records clerk for the Shawnee County Health Department, where she worked several years before retiring.

She was a member of Dover Federated Church and most recently had been attending Topeka Baptist Church.

On December 6, 1969 she married James “Jim” Burdick in Topeka. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1990. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her significant other, Ken E. Hartley; two sons, Michael (Brenda) Burdick and Chris Burdick; brother, Keith (Janet) Logan; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Carla enjoyed traveling, reading, doing word searches, and crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed country western dancing, which is where she met Ken while out with her friends.

Visitation will be from 6pm-8pm Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 10th & Lane. Funeral services will be 11am Friday, December 8, 2023 at Dover Federated Church, Dover, KS. Burial will follow at Dover Cemetery.
