Robert "Bobby" Hanners, 77, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023.
He was born May 16, 1946, in Ashland, Kentucky, the son of James and Ollie (Risner) Hanners. He proudly served his country in Vietnam with the United States Air Force.
Bobby was employed at Goodyear and retired after 39 years.
He leaves behind his wife, Lee Ann Hanners; step-son, Aaron Martin; special sister in law, Amy Henderson; his beloved dog, Abel and friend, Dave Meyers. He was preceded in death by his parents.
His family will greet relatives and friends from 11:00am-12:00pm on Monday, December 4, 2023 at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, KS 66604. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1:00 pm., Monday, December 4, 2023 at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery @ Fort Riley, 5181 Wildcat Creek Road, Manhattan. Memorial contributions may be made to The Fisher House, 4801 Linwood Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64128.
