Kathie S. (Pratt) Pierson, 65, of Topeka, passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, June 24, 2022.
She was born November 24, 1956, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Leland and Frances (Hercules) Pratt. Kathie graduated from Seaman High School in 1976. She also graduated from Brown Mackie Business College.
Kathie worked at Bank Four as a Records Office Assistant for over twenty years. She also served her community through Harvesters and Sunshine Connection.
Kathie didn't have children of her own but loved helping children in the community. She was a proud foster grandparent through different organizations in Topeka, including KNI.
She was an avid bowler and enjoyed being on various leagues. Her and Paul enjoyed dancing at the Vinewood and going to the casino. She adored her family and was always there for them. Kathie had an infectious smile and enjoyed making people laugh.
Kathie married Paul LeRoy Pierson on December 13, 2003 in Ozawkie, Kansas. Survivors include her husband, Paul Pierson; one brother, William "Bill" Pratt, Sr.; niece, TaNeisha Wish; nephews, Donnie Wishom, Toysy Smith and William "Bill" Pratt, Jr. and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Shirley Wishom and sister in law, Marsha Pratt.
Her family will greet friends from 9:30am - 10:30am on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66604. A graveside service will follow at 12:00pm on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Union Cemetery in Osage City, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to Sunshine Connection, 3434 SW 6TH Ave., Topeka, Ks 66606.
